Do We Need to Be Born Again?
In John 3:3 Jesus says:
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
If we want to see the kingdom of God, then we need to become born again. Every human born of the seed of adam is born spiritually dead.
For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23.
Because of the sin of our father, Adam, no one is worthy to be in fellowship with the Father and we are all sentenced to eternal death.
For the wages of sin is death; Romans 6:23.
But God is Love
Our Father in heaven is a loving and merciful God. Even though we have sinned, God made a way back into fellowship. He devised a plan, as only God could, to send His only begotten son Jesus to be offered up for our trespasses. Jesus Himself took our iniquity and suffered death so we would not have to.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life; John 3:16.
Jesus is the only way to salvation; there is no other door by which to enter. He already paid the price for our sins, so all we must do is receive Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
But what does it say? "The word is near you , even in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; Romans 10:8-9.
Yes, it is that easy. You see, the hard part has already been done. Jesus did the dying so we don't have to. Receive Jesus by faith as your Lord and Savior and you will have everlasting life!!!
If you would like to receive Jesus in to your life, please recite the following prayer:
Born Again Prayer
Dear Lord, I am a sinner.
I believe in my heart that Jesus died for me.
I confess with my mouth that he was raised from the dead.
I thank you Lord that you receive me unto yourself.
I receive you Lord as my God.
Thank you for redeeming me through the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
